Below is a cross post about a much needed transport. Can anyone help Wanda get her "new" old man?
HI all, I guess the title says it all.
Remember I wrote you a few weeks back about those 2 10-12 year old Fellows
in Mississippi that had gotten adopted by someone else?
Well, one of them fell through and He is gonna come and live with me.

Yahoo. His name is Judge right now and he was a stray so Stacy says he
isn't too attached to that name. We shall see what he likes when he gets
here.
His picture is at:

Here is the info that Stacy gave me on him:
He is fawn and pretty gray in the face, but he still "acts"
like a young dog. He will play and jump around like he feels good. No
limping or any signs of pain anywhere on him. He is very thin and needs
some weight. He has a great appetite. He does have heartworms in the
early stage. Vet won't treat because if his age and suggested I just put
him on Heartgurad to at least kill off the babies, which I have done. He
shows no sign of having the HW's, like coughing and so forth. He is very
sweet and gets along with all my dogs here (4 females and a young male, all
boxers) I don't have cats, but at the vets office there is a cat that
makes his rounds and Judge did not act at all toward the cat. He
sniffed it and walked away. He was picked up from the pound as a stray. He
had an undescended testicle and he had a bad tear on the skin below his eye.
The vet repaired his eye and went ahead and neutered him while he was
already under for the eye surgery. He came out fine. For some reason, my
vet didn't recommend the HW treatment. But I can tell you, Judge is in
very good shape for his age. He jumps in the vehicles, he doesn't need
help. He runs and plays in the yard and will jump on you if you let him.
He doesn' act like a typical old man to me. The vet had to repair eye his
eye so he wanted to go ahead and get that undescended testicle. He said he
could fill it, so it wouldn;t be a bad surgery. I
told him to use his judgement and Judge came out just fine.
Naturally, when I get him here, my vet will look him over and if she thinks
he can handle the heartworm treatment, then he is gonna get it. Don't want
to have him go any sooner than he has to.
Anyway, now we need to see about getting him from Mississippi to Texas.

Anyone feel like doing/helping on a cur run? I just figured out where
Gulfport is and it is dumb of me to drive to Texarkana when I can drive
south towards Beaumont instead. What do you think?
I am so excited. I do so hope that he likes everybody here and they like
him too.

:hehehehehe
