Key West, FL

We just got back from celebrating our 25th anniversary in Key West. We hadn't visited since 1983 and enjoyed it just as much this time around. If you get the chance to go, be sure to stop at the Butterfly & Nature Conservatory. It's basically a greenhouse FULL of butterflies. We also saw Hemingway's house (and cats) and walked through Key West Cemetery. The citizens have quite a sense of humor, even on grave stones. One we saw was for an 18 yo Yorkie - "His beautiful little spirit was a challenge to love". Another read "He always dreamed of being someone, still dreaming."

Congratulation on your 25th anniversary
I visited the place in 1997 or 1999. It was full of weirdos (I remember a restaurant with a tv for the iguana etc) but it was fun
The greenhouse seems very interesting, especially with a camera with a macro lens.

Thanks, Olly! We enjoy the people watching almost as much as the regular sight-seeing. How many places can you see someone in a full spiderman suit sitting on a corner playing a sitar?

Indeed but a few years ago in London we managed to have batman on a balcony at Buckingham Palace

I approved the great photos of your vacation at http://www.boxerworld.com/forums/album.php?albumid=41 and I do remember the Fort Taylor now. I had a luggage with most of my photos and my camera gear stolen/lost when flying from Miami to NYC so I do not have much memory about my trip there.
