Pet friendly hotels....some tips!!

I've seen several questions and topics on pet-friendly hotels, and I just wanted to share a few experiences. We stayed at a Comfort Suites not long ago. They were very nice about our dog ($10 charge per night), and it was a generally positive experience. The suite was a bit small but you get what you pay for I suppose. The best experience I've had was at a Hampton Inn - they are now pet friendly, and do not charge a fee per night. They were so nice and so accommodating. It's a bit pricier than other hotels but well worth it in my opinion, and it's not so bad since we don't travel too much.

One word of advice - if you are going to be at a hotel with your dog for any extended period of time, you may want to bring a crate with you or plan to take your dog out for a while. I don't think any hotel will clean your room with your dog in there unless they're crated, or unless you let them know ahead of time that you will be gone for a while.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for the advice! My family loves to travel so I've been looking for pet friendly hotels, resorts, etc. Any hotel that is completely pet friendly will gladly get my business!
