Vegas

Hello, My best Friends daughter (25) is coming over from the UK next week and would love to spend a couple of days in Vegas. Now, I have been to Vegas with my children so did all of the family friendly activities! I am hoping for any suggestions on shows, things to see/do with a 25 year old and on her 1st Vegas visit.

Thumbs up

Go to a show! Blue Man Group is awesome. Any of the Circa D' Soliel shows are absolute musts! And of course a nostalgic Vegas Cabaret Show. Some are very tasteful and some quite risque' but well worth the tickets.

Spend a night in old town at the casinos. The lazer show is cool, but the atmosphere is better. Wide range of people to watch and there's a bar there that has yard's of frozen drinks for $4 and add another double shot for $2 more. Bums, hookers and strange tourists all in one place! LOL I love to people watch.

Have a great time! I hope to be there myself by the end of the year.

I've never been to Vegas, but as a Montrealer who's seen all the Cirque du Soleil shows, I strongly recommend them! I'd love to visit Vegas just for them! They're quite magical and I'm sure your best friend's daughter would love it!

Definately a Cirque du Soleil show. I was totally enchanted with the one I saw. Also, a favorite thing we like to do is lounge hop. It's a blast and you can see a wide array of lounge acts, some really good, some not so much. There is also a great little Italian restaurant called Battista's Hole in the Wall. It is just awesome. There is a little old man who walks around playing the accordian. It is a lot of fun.

Definately go downtown - we stayed at the Golden Nugget once and when we go back I would stay there again, very nice place. Downtown has some really fun quarter, dollar places and the last time we were there 3 years ago everyone in the downtown casinos were just much nicer and more fun than the strip. The laser shows are awesome and it is a great place to people watch. The stratosphere is cool, if you don't mind heights, great views (they have a roller coaster also, but it was closed when we were there last due to high winds - but something that may appeal to a 25 year old). Go through the mall at Caesar's Palace (we're not shoppers and it took a lot of persuading to get us into a mall) it looks like an entire old city in Italy, clouds on the ceiling and all - it is really cook to walk through. You can stop at a sidewalk cafe for drinks/coffee/softdrinks and it really is awesome.

I agree! That mall is one of my favorite places in Las Vegas and I'm anti-mall as well

A 25 yr. old 1 word...CARROT TOP! He is so freaking funny!!! Everytime we go to Vegas we HAVE to see him, and I'm in my 40's! We took our son when he was about 15 and this past Feb. for his 21st we went again, he was @ Luxor, but not sure if he's still there, check around. I was 20 when I first went, and I really liked walking around the shops at Venetian. It was like being in Italy! Take a gondola ride! I also liked the roller coaster at New York New York - fun!! We rode it at night and it takes you all the way up above the hotel, and you can see the entire city from up there! We watched the Pirate show - can't remember where that was but it's out in front of the hotel, and that was pretty cool.

That would be Treasure Island. We watched the show this year. It's different than it used to be several years ago. It's more dancing than an actual pirate show like it used to be. I liked the old one better.
