tips / precautions for 6 hour car journey

Hi,
I would be taking Gigi to a Hill Station next weekend for 3 days. It would be a 6 hour car journey to the Hill Station.
I wanted to know if anyone can give me tips / precautions for the journey.. .
I would be carrying her bed to make her comfortable during the journey.
She has spondilosis, and is a bit restless during drives. Any feedback would be great! Thanx!

Be sure to get in a good walk & play time before you travel, bring a kong filled with peanut butter or cheese
We took Beau from North Carolina to Minnesota last year & he was very good actually pretty much layed in the backseat resting most of the time,we stopped for potty breaks & he was always willing to hop back in the truck & go on with our journey
