my boxer story

We got our 1st boxer baby back in Jan 06. I got her from a breeder that i didn't like... so i decided my next boxer would be a rescue. Sophie was such an amazing dog that i was convinced we needed a 2nd. June of this year i was searching petfinder and saw this beautiful male fawn around 2 years old. I immediately contacted the rescue and found out he had an adoption pending... i was crushed... i then looked at other boxers but none of them stole my heart like Brody had. I then got a wonderful call... the adoption had fallen through!!! So- then came the long process of boxer adoption. After a series of odd events the foster mommy ended up driving to my house with Brody to meet us and our girl Sophie. It was LOVE at first sight. As I type this 6 months after the adoption, i feel so blessed to have saved this wonderful dog!

i found out later that his owners had dropped him off at the rescue on Christmas Eve 2006... How sad. So this year, his first Christmas with us, he will really get pampered... as will my Sophie!

I think the Xmas gift is to us. Everyday I spend with my rescue is a gift he is truly amazing. So appreciative of every little thing. He has come from a distraught pup, into a gorgeous clown. Congratulations for making this pups life a lot better. I'll bet he will get real spoiled this Xmas.

It sure is amazing how things come to be. I am happy to hear Brody has a wonderful forever home
