can you change the title of a thread?

I've noticed some people have changed it to say "updated" or something. I just don't know how.

Thanks!

Only moderators can change the titles of threads. If some people have named their thread "update" it would have been done at the time the thread was created (presumably referring to an old previous thread related to the same issue that has since closed with inactivity).

ok. I just had posted a thread in the Health Issues forum and the subject has sort of shifted and I should have probably posted a separate thread about it, but didn't. I just don't want it to get overlooked if someone just reads the initial post in the thread and not the latest.

For instance, the initial thread is about whether or not I should go to the appointment with the specialist and now I'm looking for more information on/experiences with juvenile renal disease or kidney infections.

Let me know what I should do. I don't want to get in trouble for posting a separate thread.

Thanks!
