Droppy Eye

I was wondering if any of you have the same problem. If so are points take off for that or would they not even look at it twice.

Thanks to the help of GMACLEOD (member of BW) I was able to learn exactly what Titan has. I was just wondering how many of you share the same thing.

Loose eyes do detract from the expression, so would be a deviation and penalized to that extent.

How old is Titan? Puppies often have loose eyes that tighten up as they mature.

He just finished turning 9wks old. Hopefully his eyes do tighten up.

Oh, gosh, I'd give him a lot of time before I started to worry about it.

His head will go through all kinds of changes between now and 2 years old!

By what age would you expect the eyes to tighten up? Apollo is almost 8 months and still occasionally has droopy eyes (but to a lesser extent than when he was younger). We're not going to show him (he's already had the big snip) but we would like to see his eyes a bit less droopy.

Oops, I just re-read the thread and I guess the answer to my question is already there. So his eyes can become less droopy up to 2 years of age.

It's too eary for me

2 years is a middle-of-the-road guess

Most will probably be tightened up pretty well by 12-18 months, but my boys don't really "finish" their heads until they're 2 1/2 - 3 years old.
