Thanks Gmac! Excellent explanation. I do accept that it is a cosmetic thing as opposed to a medical prevention. I couldn't help but wonder once my own experience had happened.....you know how it is, always second guess when you don't have the "proof".

I had my youngest nephew with me for an outreach event yesterday at Petsmart. While we were between chats, I handed him a book about Boxers that was on the shelves near us. He got to a page that had a picture of a pup with his ears taped and had loads of questions. Once I explained the how and why, he was horrified and said he'd NEVER do that to a dog. Maybe the next generation can change some minds here in the US...

Smile I agree

We have 2 boxers and decided there was no reason for cropping their ears/ I would love to see a floppy eared boxer win!
