First Show, First Brag
Well, my new show pup went to her first show. She just turned 6 months on the 18th of Dec. and there was a show about 10 minutes away. It is normally small so I thought, what the heck we both need ring experiance, we'll go. Well, it was the biggest the show has ever been and it was in the newspaper and on the tv so there were more spectators than I have ever seen at a dog show. My mentor was not there so I was nervous. The first day Haley was not sure about any of this and would not stack whatsoever. I thought maybe she just isn't ready but we'll see the next day. Well, she settled in and showed all right. We went RWB and I was beyond thrilled. The third day she seemed to have got used to the atmosphere and her personality came through (let's just say she has lot's of show ring attitude.) She went WB and then BOS for 2 points! I have been walking on air ever since. We will wait a few months for her next show since I want her to fill out some. She has grown in height (22") in the last 3 weeks and has yet to fill out accordingly. I can't wait till our next show ring experiance, no matter what I am so proud of her!
