Little Henry had his first show experience this afternoon, at a local ribbon parade (which is kind of a mini show, and NZKC affiliated). He's only 4.5 months old, so we went mostly for the experience (mine, as much as his).
Well, I think my little Hooray Henry is going to be a wee stunner (already is, to me

). I spent the afternoon trailing on the other end of the leash as Henry strutted round like he owned the place, and greeted his "public" with great deference. LOL, if he keeps this up, he's going to become very hard to live with!
He won his baby puppy class, then got reserve of breed! The bitch he went reserve to then went on to take best on parade, so we're not too upset at losing. From there Henry was best puppy of group, and lost out by a whisker for puppy on parade. BUT, the judge came up to us afterward to say what an outstanding boxer puppy he was, and hoped to see again.
So we're very, very proud of our little Henry today. 'course I've always thought he's gorgeous, but will admit to being just a little biased
Stella also did very well. She was having a major case of teenage scattiness, but won her class all the same and managed to settle down and act like an adult toward the end, so a definite positive step.
So a great day was had by all - there are now two conked out boxers snoozing in their crates - and one very proud momma bragging about them on BW!
