Happy early birthday, Thora!!!! You have a very nice Mommy--that collar is beautiful!!! (I've never found that putting pretty collars on Roxi stopped people from assuming that she's a boy--not that it has stopped me from buying pretty collars!!!!)
Love, love, love the second pic!!!! Thanks for sharing them!

That 2nd picture cracked me up too. She's a kisser!
I wouldn't normally pay too much for a collar, but I got it from a seller on a well-known website that features handmade goods (hint hint) and [as an artisan] I try to support other artisans as much as I can. Not sure if I can post the link to her store, but the seller is 77LIONHEART77. The collar is VERY well made with leather and soft suede. It will last her a lifetime, so I consider it money well spent. It also has my phone number stitched on the other side, but you can't see it in the photo.

I love that collar! I'd get purple for Gus just because it looks so nice against his black fur, so I don't know how much purple says 'girl' to me. Pink definitely would though!

I guess it's more the combination of the purple with the script writing that seems girly to me. I didn't like the pink colors she had as much. The purple is very nice

I looked up the seller and you are right, the other colors are not nearly as nice. Does Thora wear her collar all the time? Is it washable in any way? I'm just wondering how the suede will hold up, cleanliness wise. I've been wanting to get Gus a wider collar but all they have in the pet stores that is wide is also size huge!

I know what you mean about the huge collars (and they're usually up there in price too). Tuff's was a big wide studded collar that was handmade by an Amish crafter. I wish I would have bookmarked the guy who made it because the quality was superb and the price was cheap for leather.
Thora's only had her collar for a couple days, so it's hard to say how clean the suede will stay over time, but she does wear it constantly because of having to go outside on the leash for potty breaks and such. The purple is dark and true to the colors in the seller's photos, so I doubt it will show much dirt on the outside. The lighter colors would be more of an issue of course, especially if your dog loves swimming in mucky water or rolling in mud haha. Might be handy to have a back-up collars for those kind of days

Too funny... I came on here to post pics of Lego's new collar and saw this thread!
Miss Thora looks soooo pretty with her new collar.
I didn't want to hijack your thread so I started my own. They must have birthdays close together.
