I'm attempting my own boxer pumpkin later this week. Question is, how do you scrape the pumpkin? I read that it peels off after you punch holes but I'm not sure. Thanks! Awesome pumpkins btw.

Two years ago I did a spider man pumpkin that was very intricate. Took me over two hours to carve it. I just used a regular steak knife and it worked great. You will get the groove of it. Can't wait to see pictures.

Anyway thanks everyone for the nice comments........I used a craft pumpkin (thanks Holden's Mom for the great idea) so that I would have a boxer pumpkin every year without any more hard labor.
Still looking forward to seeing others pictures if and when you carve some boxer pumpkins.
