Puppy Pancakes

Yesterday was my dog's 1st birthday. Instead of the usual birthday cake, I decided to try one of my Three Dog Bakery recipes for "Sunday Morning Beggin Cakes" The recipe was super easy to put together and my dog went crazy over the little pancakes.

3 eggs
1 1/4 skim milk
1 tablespoon honey
2/3 cup white flour
1/4 cup bacon bits

Beat eggs until thick. Stir in the milk and honey. Add sifted flour and bacon bits. Pour by spoonful onto a hot griddle.

I didn't have a griddle, so I just used a regular skillet. I sprayed a little
cooking spray on first. The mixture was a little runny and spread out in the pan, but cooked really fast. After a few seconds I was able to turn them over to brown on other side. Make sure your skillet starts out hot, then turn down because they brown fast. Store them in a container in the refrigerator. You can substitute whole wheat flour and change bacon bits to other items (liver, jerkey, etc)
