Frosty Paws & More
FROSTY PAWS
32 oz. vanilla yogurt
1 mashed banana or one large jar of baby fruit
2 T. peanut butter
2 T. honey
Blend together and freeze in either 3 oz. paper cups or ice cube trays.
Microwave just a few seconds before serving.
HORS D'OGS
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
2 T safflower oil
1/2 cup Rice Krispies cereal
1/2 tsp ground garlic
1/4 cup swiss cheese, grated
Combine cheeses, garlic and oil.
Using plastic wrap, shape mixture into a log about 1 inch in diameter and 8 inches long.
Roll log in Rice Krispies
Refrigerate.
Slice into half-inch rounds and serve.
HEALTHY SNACKS
1 cup white rice flour
1/4 cup soy flour
1 egg
1 T unsulfered molasses
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup powdered milk
2 T safflower oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix dry ingredients together.
Add molasses, egg, oil and milk.
Roll out flat onto oiled cookie sheet and cut into dally bite-sized pieces.
Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and store in tightly sealed container.
DOG BISCUITS
1/2 cup cornmeal
2 cups white rice flour
6 T oil
2/3 cup water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together well.
Roll out to 1/4 inch thick.
Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutter.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
Let cool and store in tightly sealed container.
CAROB TREATS
6 cups white rice flour
1/8 cup peanut oil
1/8 cup safflower oil margarine
1 T brown sugar
2 oz carob chips (available in health food stores), melted
1 cup water
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup powdered milk
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Add remaining ingredients and mix until blended.
Dough will be stiff.
Chill.
Roll dough on a greased cookie pan and cut into shapes 1/2 inch thick.
Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
YUMMY DOG BISCUITS
1 1/2 cups white rice flour
1 1/4 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/4 pound safflower oil margarine
1 clove garlic, crushed
pinch of salt
Grate the cheese and let stand until it reaches room temperature.
Cream the cheese with the softened margarine, garlic, salt, and flour.
Add enough milk to form inta a ball.
Chill for 1/2 hour.
Roll onto floured board.
Cut into shapes and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until slightly brown, and firm.
Makes 2 to 3 dozen, depending on size.

These are great! I've been wanting to try frosty paws forever, but no one in my area carries them. Thanks for sharing!!

Although I haven't tried the frosty paws recipe yet, my dogs LOVE the store bought ones. I'm sure it WILL be more economical to make the ones here, since a box of 4 from the grocery costs around $3.00

I made the frosty paws, I NOW call them pupsicles, lol, They were such a big hit with my two dogs (me too) Like I said, $3.00 for store bought frosty paws ( box of 4), I made about 16 for approx. $2.50. I think they ARE much better than store bought, because you know exactly what is in them!

would these be considered people food? lol because ive vowed not to give my puppy people food. The first time i did she got sick and someone in my house did last night because she got sick this morning...and i found some mcdonalds french fries mixed in the mess

thanks a bunch.. I made my dogs frosty Paws. I dont have any ice cube trays because we have an ice maker so i used mini cupcake trays and we have metal candy making moulds and i used one shaped as a snowman.. they love them!
