looking for sweet cookies ~
i know there are tons of threads on this stuff , but i am looking for something MORE specific & would like feed back from ppl i know ! lol
i am looking to bake some treats TODAY ! lol ( mom is in hospital & i need to focus on something else ) sam has such a sweet tooth , i was thinking something with apples & maybe cin. that can be cute into the cookie cuter bone shape cuter i have.
i am sure i could make my own up ~ ( wich is what i usually do ) but i use PB for my base & i dont like my treats to just taste like FLOUR ~ these homebaked treats are his high value ones.
so any ideas or actual recipes would be GREAT !!
thanks so much for any help !
( and any extra prayers for my mom would be great also ! )

Hi Angela
First of all, I am sending a bunch of (((((((positive vibes))))))) your and your mom's way
I made those cookies for my boys last week. They really loved it. I kind of invented them. So feel free to change it up to whatever your pup likes!
Apple and yogurt cookies.
2 cup flours
1/4 cup old fashion oats, grinded or not (I made it into flour in the blender)
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp molasses
4 oz natural unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 tsp cinamon
1/4 tsp ginger
6 tablets of crushed brewers yeast.
I mix everything with my hand, make a bowl and wrap in plastic wrap for 1hr in the fridge. Roll and cut with cookie cutter.
Cook 30min at 325F and then 20min at 200F
If you make thick cookies, cook longer
I usually invent my own cookies. This week end, I will do the same recipe, but will use a banana instead of the applesauce.
If the dough is too dry, i add yogurt or a tbsp of vegetable oil. If the dough is too sticky, I add flour.
As for flour, I use brown rice or barley flour.. Or I make oatmeal flour by putting oatmeal in the blender.
I usually use the same base and change: applesauce, banana, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, cheese, sardines, tuna, can food, carrots... and of course, the usual PB
I hope this helps and that is the kind of cookies you were looking for.
I am going to make a banana batch tomorrow!

I think I am going to make some cookies for the dogs, too!
Thank you for providing all the ideas and recipes Chrystel!
I made cheese and bacon cookies for the dogs a while back, they loved it:
2cups flour (whole wheat, barley, anything)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 slices cooked bacon (grind in food processor after cooking)
1 egg
1 Tbs olive oil
garlic powder
1/2 cup water
Mix all the ingredients, roll out, cut out shapes, Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Angela, I hope your mom is okay ((((positive vibes))))
