Talking Yummy peanut butter oat bars....

Snatch and Oxford are just crazy (and drooly!) with those.. and it's so easy to make!!!

Ingredient:
1 cup oats
1/2 cup wheat flour
1 egg
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup milk
2 big spoon of peanut butter

Preheat oven at 325degrees
Mix egg + honey + milk + peanut butter
Add flour and oats
Mix well and bake for about 25 minutes

I sometime replace the peanut butter for some mashed bananas

Sounds like what I make but I use Rye flour instead of wheat (for allergies). I even add a little low sodium chicken broth and parmesan cheese.

I was going to post and ask what could be substituted for the wheat flour...I don't know if Rolen has a wheat allergy, but I try to steer clear of wheat and corn...so rye flour is a good substitute? Can you get that at a regular grocery store?

The bars sound like something Rolen would absolutely love! I'll have to make them for him sometime!

Yes, you can get Rye at a regular grocery store. It is a great substitute, works well. Roxy has a grain allergy, so I use Rye. She tolerates it very well. My fur kids love the bars, in fact, they just ate the last ones today. Guess I need to make more!

You can use rice flour as well, either brown or white and it will work well.
