Karen-let me know what you think of the no bake cookies! If you lived here we would have to get together to swap recipes!

Here is my other favorite!!

My grandma (Norni)'s recipe:
Old Time Cinnamon Jumbles
1/2 cup of soft shortening (can use part butter or margarine)
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
sugar and cinnamon (about 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon)
Mix shortening, sugar, and egg thoroughly. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and stir in. Chill dough. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Drop rounded spoonfulls about 2 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake 8-10 minutes until set but not brown.
These cookies have almost a cake like consistency to them, they are SOOOO good!
