Talking Cookies

I'm gonna try the no bake cookies, but I was wondering if anyone else had any other cookie recipes for me to try??

Maybe something Grandma used to make - Tried & tested.

Karen-let me know what you think of the no bake cookies! If you lived here we would have to get together to swap recipes! Here is my other favorite!! My grandma (Norni)'s recipe:

Old Time Cinnamon Jumbles

1/2 cup of soft shortening (can use part butter or margarine)
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
sugar and cinnamon (about 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon)

Mix shortening, sugar, and egg thoroughly. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and stir in. Chill dough. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Drop rounded spoonfulls about 2 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake 8-10 minutes until set but not brown.

These cookies have almost a cake like consistency to them, they are SOOOO good!

I just made them a bit earlier - Yum! We them. I even gave Rogue a crumb (or two).

She don't get anything like that as a treat, so Rogue was very impressed.

I'm so glad you liked them! Don't leave them out now or Rogue may try to snatch all of them!

I got this recipe from my brother.

Cook 36 chocolate cookies in a muffin pan (one cookie for each cup) according to directions. Before they cool, put one caramel or peanut butter cup in the center. YUMMY.
