Hot tea
So, we've had the topic about iced tea....but how about hot tea. I'm learning to love my tea hot as much as I love it iced. Although, I'm not too keen on the black teas hot. Earl grey or breakfast teas are ok with a splash of milk. Mostly I like green teas, and semi-fermented black teas hot. Some herbal teas are not bad either.
What kind of tea do you like, and how do you dress it up?

Re: Hot tea
I drink hot chamomille or peppermint tea with honey. I like the black tea and really miss good old tetley. The tetley sold here in the US is not the same as the stuff in the UK. I like my tea with a splash of milk and use brown sugar cubes occasionally.

Always time for a wee cup of tea
Favourites are:
Earl Grey,
Red Bush (Rooibos) - very good for you too!
Honeybush - yum!
All with a splash of milk.

Re: Hot tea
I used to be a Tetley's gal until I tried Twinnings breakfast tea, I love it, it makes the perfect cuppa, with 1 sugar and milk!

Re: Hot tea
I hate Earl Grey - It tastes like flowers, & it's supposed to be drunk without milk, & I don't like tea without milk.
I drink Tetley De-Caf (with milk), no sugar (I'm sweet enough as it is).
Rogue loves Green tea. It's really good for you, but I cannot bring myself to drink the stuff. Black tea puts me right off.

Re: Hot tea
I have only ever drank hot tea a few times and I loved it. Couldn't tell ya what kind it was, it was at a Chinese restaurant in Fairborn Ohio, with dinner. But I loved it. Other than that, I drink cold sweet tea!

Re: Hot tea
My favorite hot tea is Lady Grey with cream and sugar,...mmmm, so soothing in the morning or on a cold day with a tea bisquit or ginger cookie.
I also like green tea hot with honey and a dash of milk. In the evening, mint or chamomile with honey and a dash of milk (I know milk isn't normal for herbals, but I can't drink tea without it, lol).

Green tea is real hit and miss with me. Much of it tastes of grass clippings, but I've found some of the flavored green teas (like jasmine green tea) are quite tasty.
Black teas are usually pretty harsh for my taste, although I have found of few of those that I generally like.

Oolong is probably my favorite. Just a touch of sugar or splenda. It needs nothing else.
kljarvis, this is the stuff they serve is chinese restaurants. It's a semi-fermented black tea.
I also prefer my tea in whole loose leaf. After drinking it this way for a while, anytime I drink something pre-bagged....I can taste the bag, believe it or not.
