Good Deed Turns into Good DEEDS

I recently went and "rescued" a boxer female that had shown up at a farm in a rural area where I live. When I arrived she was very malnourished, wormy, etc.

I have owned a male boxer for many years and I absolutley love boxers. When I first saw the posting about the stray-boxer. I figured it was a mix of some sort, but I went anyway.

Upon arrival, a light-fawn colored female greeted me with tail wagging, and the kidney bean dance.

I took her home and began nursing her to health.

She was scheduled to goto the vet for a good checkup and .................puppies!

Not what I wanted, but what can one do. She dropped her pups yesterday. I've had her with me for about 5 weeks or so, and she is such a good dog and so far a good mother. I gave her water in the welping box and she'd let me help her when she needed it, though I didn't do much.

I now have 8 more dogs then I bargained for. I was wondering if I posted pictures of them on here, if you could help me determine what mix they might be. They have so much of the boxer features, its very hard to tell.

They look enough like boxers that I'm going to go ahead and dock their tails, and remove dew claws tomorrow. I don't think they are full blooded boxers, but I'm not a breeder of dogs, so I wouldn't know. All puppies are cute .

I hate to think that someoen lost there boxer dog, but we tried to find the owner to no avail. So now she's a part of my home along with my male boxer. And now, 8 lil rascals that I have to take care of.

Anyway, if anybody wants to help me in determine what they are let me know!

That is a nice thing you did to take in the mom. Perhaps a local rescue can help you place them if you are unable to find homes for them all.

First I wanted to say good on you for taking in a rescue. There are unfortunately many people who wouldn't, especially if they were in such poor condition.
Gee you got more than you bargained for! LOL... But I am sure you will find great homes for the pups and that they are in great hands.
I am glad to hear that your girl is a great mom. It makes things easier for you, especially seeing this was a suprise for you.
Give her lots of cuddles and good luck with the pups. Cuddle those puppies too, I am sure they are sweet.

Very Sweet Pups

They are very sweet little puppies. I'm going to try to take some pictures of them when I return home this week. I'll post them in my gallery so that you guys can look at them and tell me what you think they are.

Thanks for the comments
