Unhappy My puppy choked today...

Hi everyone, I just wanted to tell you guys to be extra careful with your babies....
This afternoon, I was playing with my 7wk old before putting her back in her crate (I come home for lunch to let her out) when all of a sudden she started choking on something and stopped breathing. We can't figure out what it was that she choked on because she really hadn't been into anything. (We think that maybe she had a piece of food or a cheerio stuck between her gums that got disloged while we were playing.) Whatever it was, was sharp enough to cut her trachea. By some miracle she started breathing on the way to the hospital....where she is spending the night. They haven't had to give her oxygen since this afternoon and she seems to be getting better...but there is still a possibility she may not make it. I'm so heartbroken over this, I just adore her.

This was such a horrible, horrible experience...
PLEASE be extra careful and make sure you keep your eyes on your babies ALL the time....you never know what they will find.

Keep my Daisy in your thoughts and send her well wishes please.

I can't belive you posted that! We have went through some tough times with our boxers and this is a great site to learn and ask questions. If it wasn't for this site my wife would go nuts. She is on here more than myself but at any rate that was just rude ignorant and just plain stupid. If you don't have positive or reassuring things to offer maybe you should keep your jib shut. We have been kicked out of and laughed at our vet office because we care tooooo much. I dont have all the answers but I do know you can't spend 24 hrs at the vet!!! I have compassion for peoples feelings and stituations you just can't control. LOOK COMPASSION UP IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS----APPLY IT!!!!!
EXAMPLE: Kichlo I am sorry your going through this. I hope your puppy is doing better. Please keep us posted

I think that if this thread bothers you so very much, you should not participate in the discussion at all. From what I can see you've already violated the rules by not introducing yourself properly. You chose instead to have your first posts be inflammatory and mean-spirited and would do well to review the rules, particularly the part that says:

Discussion is welcome - flaming and personal attacks are not permitted. Members should not use the board to generate arguments.
