Need help with house training.....PLEASE!

Okay, Ollie has been home for about 2 weeks and just turned 9 weeks. He pees ALL the time, I will take him out and he will pee and then 10 minutes later there he is squatting in the living room! Maybe it has been too long for me to remember what puppies are like but OMG he pee'd right in front of me 2 times within 15 minutes. he was fine the first couple days but it has gotten worse the last week or so. Is this normal or could there be maybe a UTI or something going on? I saw him sitting down peeing as well, I am so frustrated.

Ruling out UTI certainly can't hurt if you feel he's peeing a lot more. Is it hot where you are....Johann has been drinking lots to stay cool and has been peeing extra. It sounds like normal 9 week old puppy to me.

We used to keep Johann out until he had peed 2 times....he'd get distracted the 1st time and not finish. Sometimes it took 10 minutes, but he didn't pee in the house afterwards.

What are you doing for a schedule for him? Ours was:
0600; Johann out to pee/poop. Feed breakfast
0630: Johann out to pee/poop (if needed)
0730 Johann out to pee,
0730 to 1130 in his crate, then out to pee/poop/play/eat lunch
Back into his crate at 1230 pm after a potty break.
430 pm out to pee/poop
'530 pm out to pee/poop
630 pm out to pee/poop. Eat dinner
700 pm out to pee/poop
He usually went out alot after eating dinner because then it was playtime. Maybe every hour or so to pee/poop.
Last trip outside at midnight, then in his crate for the night.

Its a lot of trips outdoors, but at least its less cleaning up the house. He pooped usually in before/after breakfast, after lunch, and after dinner, and on his last trip outside.

Make a huge deal when he pottys outside. Treats, attention, love, etc. Tons of praise so he learns "peeing outside = good". If you catch him peeing inside, say "no" (or whatever your correction word is), then bring him outside immediately (carry if you need to). Then once he pees outside........tons of praise, treats, love, etc.

We gradually cut off the breaks, would go 1 hrs in between when he was consistent with waiting 1 hr. But, pretty much anytime he ate, woke up, played, or did boxer burns......we brought him outside.

Housetraining involves the dog figuring out a few things. 1-peeing outside is good, 2-peeing in the house is not good, and 3-that he needs to signal you that he needs to go out. It sounds like your pup doesn't get any of those yet.....keep working and he'll figure it out.

Are you using a cleaner that removes pet odors? He may still smell where he's peed before, so thats why he's continuing.

Good luck!

I took Ollie's Urine in to be analyzed and turns out that his Ph levels are high and that there are traces of Crystals in his Urine. The vet put him on an antibiotic to cover any infection and wanted to recheck after meds were done. I took him back today for his shots and talked with my vet, Ollie is not peeing nearly as much so he wants to put him on a better quality food then he is on now, he is thinking this could be contributing to the crystals. He is on Purina Pro Plan right now(I know it's crap), I wanted to wait till he was a little bigger before I switched him. My vet recommended I put him on Natural Balance(thats what Bruiser is on now) and to recheck his Urine in 10 days or so. I am hoping it is just the poor quality food he is eating that is causing these problems and that it goes away after the switch. Oh, they are struvite crystals.
