What's that smell??!?

I just want to thank everyone here at BoxerWorld for preparing me for my new pup. I learned so much on what to expect, but i'd have to say one of the most unanticipated pieces of advice I read was about the natural pipeline of gas that comes out of the boxer breed.

Let me assure you that if I wasn't aware of this particularity, I would have turned my car around back towards the breeder and told her that something had "died" up in my new pup....Phew!

Thank goodness I knew! Other than the gas, my new family addition is a little doll...check Drake out in the pic.

I couldnt help but laugh at your post! We were in petco yesterday and Addie had horrible gas. It was so bad we moved asile to asile hoping no one would smell it They can definitly clear a room quickly.

We had the exact same experience with Beau yesterday. We were standing in the medicine aisle looking at and laughing, ironically, at the doggie gas aid tablets they have, then we're over come with the aroma of boxer gas. Dh and I scatter from that aisle, only to be greeted by someone who wanted to go down the aisle. They didn't say anything, but I know they had to have smelled it.....it was BAD!

OMG I know what you mean!! Thatcher cuts sooo much cheese that we actually named him Thatcher Cheese! It's so bad, it's practically intoxicating! When we say you little stinker, we mean it!! My parents try to blame the skin kids but we know Thatcher's cheese when we smell it, lol. (unfortunately) It's silent but DEADLY!

my gosh, Rocky lays under the computer dest and it weasles its way thru the crevices between the keyboard and I and slaps me in the face, I'm thinkin i'm down-wind but I'm actually 'up' wind...lol

we recently changed our boys food and it gave them odd smelling gas. I kept trying to figure out what it smelled like. They had been gassing me for the past few hours and when my husband finally walked through a cloud he exclaimed, "my God. That smells like a funky taco with doo-doo meat."

He was able to coin it exactly. Thankfully, it has calmed down alittle now. The smell, not the gas. They are still gassy as ever.

Just to update on this whole gas tornado... Yesterday we were sitting in the cuddly chair, foot rest up, Drake's head by my feet, Drake's rear facing my front. BIG MISTAKE. I actually had to get up and move across the room to the couch. And he had the nerve to look at me as if to say.. "Whaaat??"
