Good

Many, many members on this site give raw eggs to their dogs (incidentally, plenty of human athletes consume raw eggs themselves too, as do the general public in things like mayonnaise - but a dog is a heck of a lot less likely to have a problem than we are).
I imagine the person freaked out by this was worried about salmonella. Personally, I think that's excessive concern.
Even for humans, avoidance of raw eggs is only recommended for those who're already vulnerable (the very young, very old, or those already sick). A dog is far less vulnerable to bacterial poisoning than humans, and in any case, it's about 1 in 10,000 eggs likely to make anyone sick. Giving a couple of raw eggs a week over the dog's
entire lifespan (say 12 years) only adds up to 1200 or so eggs. The risk of him striking that "lucky egg" and getting sick from it is really rather minimal.
Raw eggs should be limited to 2 per week though. As with most things, moderation is key.
