Wild game?

Hi, I switched Pandora (4months, 2 weeks old) over a little more than a month ago with Oma's Pride. Last week, we were up in the Adirondacks, having all the time to devout to her we started on real chicken, by the end of the week she was eating fresh from the pond brook trout with her chicken breast w/ bone, for lunch. Our friend was fascinated watching her pick it up and give it a little head shake. She still has mostly baby teeth. Yes I remembered to score it for her.

My friend is a hunter, he gets paid to trap beaver and other stuff. He offered me the meat if I pay the shipping. I did a search on this forum but didn’t find any mention of beaver as food for our fur kids. Any opinions? And what else is safe or not as far as wild game goes?

Beaver would be probably be okay. I would freeze it for a least a month at 0 degrees F.. That should kill any parasites. They try it and see how it goes.
