My Baby
Saturday afternoon my Diva got hit by a car. We rushed her to the ER vet they did get her stable but at 12:45 she arrested and they were not able to bring her back to us. I am so thankful she new I was there with her.
I am completly devestated. I can not believe she won't be here to follow me through my day and night. She was totally spoiled beyond belief. She was my confidant, my tear absorber, my shadow, my passenger in my car, my baby, and my best friend.
How do I keep functioning and doing my daily things?
I didnt know we had the capablilty to cry without ceasing even in our sleep.

I'm so sorry that you lost your little girl!!!!!!!!! My thoughts are with you in your time of sorrow!
(I don't know how to help you with coping with your loss on this one! I know that if I were to lose Apollo, I would be devastated too!! It will take time. Remember the good times - I'm sure there are many!)

I am so sorry to hear about your Diva.
And yes, it is normal to feel this pain for awhile, but in time, it will be replaced with the loving memories of Diva.
Just give it time and know that your sadness is normal.
My thoughts are with you.

Please know how comforting it was to Diva to have you there for her. She did all those thingsyou listed for you and you gave her comfort when she needed it most..that is what friends are for. Hugs to you as you face the days ahead.

I too am so sorry that you lost your sweet Diva. I lost my boxer baby Emma this summer suddenly and tragically, and I still ache for her. I didn't know how to function either, but it is true that slowly the pain fades while the sweet memories creep back in. That pain will never go away though. How could it possibly? The biggest thing that helped me personally (and I know we're all different) was getting my new baby Stella. I got her 2 weeks later, and she brought the joy back to my heart. I tell her all about her big sister Emma, and even passed down Emma's blanket to her. I know Emma would be happy for us, and very proud of her little sister. Please know that you are in good company, and we all share in your greif. God bless.

My heart goes out to you. Losing anything precious is devastating; to lose someone so precious and so young and so suddenly - I can't begin to think how I'd cope.
Please be glad for the times you had together and know Emma will be waiting for you at the Bridge.
And lastly, remember time does heal, but until it does, cry the tears that you want to cry - they're tears worth shedding. Don't apologise for them and don't let anyone say to you "it was just a dog". Some people have human children, some people have fur children and some people have both. The fact that Emma was not a human baby does not lessen your feelings and if you need to cry, or yell, or just talk, remember that your boxer friends are here for you.
Hugs and boxer kisses.
