My Beloved Elvis ...

Its been 4 days exactly since I had to lay my baby to rest. Needless to say, its been hell. I miss him terribly. The day I had to put Elvis down, on our drive home, I looked in the sky and saw the most incredible RAINBOW Id ever seen before. What a believer it made out of me!

These past few days, Ive been thinking a lot about him naturally and I heard a song on the radio, one that we all know well Im sure.. its a love song. But this time I really listened to it in another way.. thinking of him. It made perfect sense to me and I will forever think of my baby when I hear it. God Speed the King! Mommy loves you more than you will ever know!

When I think back on these times
And dreams we left behind
I'll be glad 'cuz I was blessed to have you in my life

When I look back
I'll look and see your face
You were right there for me ...

In my dreams
I'll always see your soul
Above the sky
In my heart
There always be a place
For you for all my life
I'll keep a part
Of you with me
And everywhere I am
There you'll be
Well you showed me
How it feels
To feel the sky
Within my reach
And I always
Will remember all
The strength you
Gave to me
Your love made me
Make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me

'Cause I always saw in you
My light, my strength
And I want to thank you
Now for all the ways
You were right there for me
For always........

Tracy,
I too chose a song after I had to put my beloved Zena to sleep. I chose a song by No Mercy called When I Die. Every time I hear that song, it brings a smile to my face. In the begining all I did was cry. Especially when for reasons unknown I would call her name, then have the sudden realization that she was gone. Now when I think of my angel it brings smiles and a warm joy. The pain never really goes away, but over time it will lessen.

Tracey I think for all of us who followed Elvis' story a piece of each us went with him. I think that's true of all our lost babies on BW.
I truly believe the rainbow was a sign from him he's ok, and wants you to be, too. Just give it time-nothing happens over night.
Hugs.
