Faith and Works

We had two boxers named Faith and Works. We had Faith for almost 13 years and had a stroke back in August; however, she fought through it until we had to put put her to sleep on Dec. 31st. It broke our hearts... She kissed us and then we prayed over her, anointed her with oil, and gave her back to Jesus. She was our first boxer and was soo loving... Words can't describe the love and joy that she brought to our hearts and home. Works was with us and watched the whole process.

Two months ago we noticed that Works, by the way was almost 10, developed a cough. We took him to the vet and they gave him a cough suppressant and antibiotics. It appeared to clear up but a month and a half later the cough came back. Therefore, we took him to the vet again and he was diagnosed with lung cancer. X-rays were taken and his lungs were covered with cancer. We decided to bring him home and spend the weekend with him before making that final decision to put him down. We spent that Friday with him trying to make him as comfortable as possible. Late Friday night he coughed and coughed as he struggled to breathe. We decided it was time and took him in on April 28, at 1:00 AM that Saturday morning. For the second time in four months, I had to put one of my babies down... He also kissed us as we prayed over him, anointed him with oil, and gave my second boxer back to Jesus.

Faith and Works were my kids because me and my don't have any kids together. I have not been the same since they've been gone... I put my faith in God and believe that one day we will be reunited forever. It is soo hard to come home and know that they are not here to greet us and spend that precious time together anymore. I honestly beleive Faith and Works our together again and are waiting for Daddy and Mommy.

Losing one is devastating. I can't imagine losing two in such a short period of time. I am sure you are both struggling.
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss and I wish you peace.

I cant even begin to imagine what you are going through, you didnt have time to get over the first loss when you were hit a second blow.
You will both be in my thoughts and prayers.
