Thank you Cami
I've been dreading this day for the past week. Counting down the days until it would be two years since losing Cami. Today is the day.
I have kept an incredible sense of sadness as my new found friend over the past two years. Each day has been a challenge even if I wasn't aware of it or if I tried to pretend it wasn't. I have struggled with simple tasks that had previously came easy to me. Some days have gone by so quickly that I missed out on opportunities I would have liked to enjoy and others have ticked away as if they were an eternity long.
Mourning a loss is different for each of us but in the end we all suffer the same broken heart. No one can fix it for us. No one can give the pain a deadline that might offer us an escape from the extreme pain we somehow manage to live with. We pray for numbness so that we might not have to feel the severity of the loss indefinitely. Worlds get shattered for each of us individually when we lose a pet. For the majority of us Boxers are not merely just pets but something much more profound. It takes a special kind of person to love a Boxer and even a more special one to survive their loss. No matter what we are all better for having them or having had them in our lives.
For Cami.....
You were not only loved you were cherished. I always told your daddy that you were far from perfect but you were perfect for us. The majority of your life was full of health challenges yet you never once complained. I thank you for that. Had you been the type to struggle with treatments we would not have had you in our lives for nearly 7 years. You are a champion in my eyes and my own personal HERO. Your spirit was amazing and your courage and strength was contagious. I have yet to meet a more brilliant dog mind. The things you knew and the things you figured out were mind boggling. I hope you can feel our love while you wait for us at The Rainbow Bridge. I hope you have been returned to your perfectly healthy self. You are so deserving of an eternity of happiness. My broken heart continues to ache for you but please know that I am OK. I love you today, tomorrow and always my sweet-sweet girl. Thank you for being ours. Mommy & Daddy love you.

I am sure Cami know she was loved dearly and you will always have her in your heart.
She is running free at the bridge waiting for other boxer babies that has passed.
