Yesterday I lost my 6 1/2 year old baby Apollo. He suddenly had a seizure and stopped breathing. My friend tried CPR and nothing. Everything in me died that moment and I don't know how to go on. He was my reason for coming home .. now I will come home to an empty house... He was happy until up until the moment he passed. He was my everything. My life, my bestfriend.

Apollo you were my bestfriend, my family, my life, my heart, my everything. I love you more than anything. I hope wherever you are you are happy and I hope you know how much I love you. I will miss you every day of my life. You knew everything about me and I knew everything about you. You listened, you loved me when I wasn't so loveable, and you understood. You were there for me when I needed you the most. You touched the lives of everyone who ever met you, and they loved you as well. Nothing will ever be able to fill the void in my heart. I love you baby boy.. you are my everything.

Thank you for your kind words. The crying is off and on now, and I'm sure when the vet calls me at the end of the week telling me I can pick up his ashes I will be a wreck again. Coming home to an empty house leaves me empty inside. I know time will heal and I know he wants me to be happy it just seems so hard. He was my life. People who aren't boxer owners don't seem to understand it seems.

My thoughts are with you. Such a tough time of year to lose your baby. I balled over Cairo earlier, and she's been gone almost 10 months now. It's okay to cry, and to love him. He deserves it. Run free, Apollo.

And you are right -- sometimes they just don't understand how these guys tear up your heart when they leave -- just like they made it whole when they got here.
