My buddy Robert

On Tuesday March 10th my dear sweet friend Robert the springer spaniel went to heaven after long heroic battle with diabetes. Robert was the dog of my boyfriend Kip, and losing him has left a huge hole in our lives. He was incredibly sweet, loved to grunt, get back scratches, wag his nubby, bounce up & down like tigger, and do this crazy tap dance when we got home to announce how happy he was. Our last days with Robert were a mass of confusion, unable to level out his insulin, constant pain for Robert and after giving 15 years of love and sweetness we knew it was his time to go to the bridge. Rocky, Bea & Mia miss you so much buddy.

Thank you Robert for being sweet, I will miss everything about you except your penchant for dragging my underpants into the living room. Ok, so maybe I would not mind having that happen one more time just to be able to gasp and say NO SIR!! The guilty look on your face was a sight to behold. Love you!!

Robert sounds like he was such a wonderful dog. I am so sorry for your loss. Run free sweet Robert, healthy and painfree, no more diabetes. Godspeed. Take care.

I am so so sorry for your loss. It sounds like Robert was a wonderful companion, and what a long life he had!! God Bless his little soul. Stay safe at the bridge Robert until your family sees you again

I'm very sorry to hear about your dear friend, Robert, that he was so ill and that it was time to let him go. My thoughts and deepest sympathy go out to you during a most difficult and sad time. There's so little consolation that can ease the pain of losing a dear and beloved companion, but know that many understand your grief, and feel for you. Run free, Sweet Robert - watch over your family who misses you so very much.
