I'm right there with you. We lost our Jake on the fourth also. We had been battling hemangiosarcoma since December. Like Rexy, it was getting so hard for him to even get up that I was feeding him by hand on the last day. It has to be the hardest thing I have ever done, but I know it was the right time for him. It just will never be the right time for the ones that are left behind. Just try and remember the good times. That is the only thing getting me through right now. Jake and Rexy are probably playing right now in their boxer kind of way. Good luck.

Dear Friend, my heart goes out to you having lost your Beloved Rexy.

I'm deeply sorry he was so young, so ill, and that you had make the painful decision to let him go. As hard as it was, you did the most loving and compassionate thing for him, taking care of him and looking out for what was best for him, as you did throughout his life. I keep you and your family in my prayers during this very sad time. Your Rexy is still with you in your hearts and the precious memories you made together. Death cannot take any of that away. Godspeed, sweet Rexy Boy, and run free with all of your new friends at the Bridge. You are loved forever.

i am so sorry to hear of your loss. rexy is now out of pain and running and playing as if he were a pup again with all our babies who have gone before us. know that as long as you have the great memories and love he gave you he is really never gone. r.i.p rexy

You are all so kind and I really appreciate your thoughtful words. It really does help. Each day is getting a bit easier, but it is so quiet around the house without him! Our other dog, Bucky, a German Shorthair, is a mess right now. They had been inseparable since the day we brought Rexy home as a pup. Now he won't eat and seems depressed...I keep telling him it's OK and that we all miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss of Rexy. The heartbreak is just awful but the memories can never be taken away. I still grieve for our Maggie that went to the bridge on Dec.16th. We do have a new puppy,Abby,11 weeks old now. My prayers are with you.
