One of a kind

In loving memory of Bobby Joe Lewis the brave, happy, side-winding, drooling, nubby-waggin', non-flea-bagged, wrinkly, cheeto-lovin', half-kangaroo, good natured, protective, made you laugh!, puppy-teaching, energetic, wound up, chop-chort, I've been bobmotized!, freckle-chested, nuzzlin', heat-mizor, boing, boing, boing, kid-lovin', lick-first-to-see-if-you-like-a-lickin'-dog, badger-growlin', snoring, snorting, gotta-chew-it-ON-you!, pillow-fluffin', mumbling, siren-singing, screen-jumpin', i've been slimed!, flyin' dog, stuffing-pluckin', pffffft(sbd king), obediant, cat-lovin' fun-lovin', heart-o'-gold, fetchin', squeakie-obsessed, non-swimmin', water-lovin', bed-hoggin', lips-flappin' in the wind, sittin' in your lap, slobber-flickin', bow-tie-wearing, french-kissin', trail-sniffin', rabbit-chasin', run-your-butt-off-for-no-reason, wrestling, silly, nose-bleed-giving, papa's home, who's here, come on IN!,youTELL'em, get the ball, gentle, sweet, guard-dog, comedian, gittit, gittit, gittit!, mini-blind-eatin', butt-wigglin', just plain goofy, bobby-doo(no-relation) , muhma's-boy, boberan, da bobster, english-understanding, half human, run, run, run!, spanky-maulin', tommy-maulin', molson-maulin', sport-maulin', sam maulin', bobslobberin', cuddling, miracle-grow-eatin', chocolate-cake-snaggin', "can bob come out and play?", black-muck wading, snuggling, bestest dog in the whole wide world.

Sept. 17th, 1993 - Sept. 2nd, 2001

Bob died of congestive heart failure. Some may say that's just bad breeding, but I'd have never traded a second of these passed 8 years for longevity if it would have sacrificed one tiny piece of this dogs personality.

What a tribute to your friend. I understand what you're going through, lost my Buddy a bit over a month ago and still cry when I read posts like yours.

My thoughts are with you.

Thanks for the wonderful memories. I'm laughing as hard as I'm crying.
We lost our Eva(female brindel) last summer to her old age(11.5) and her best friend Adolf(male fawn) is still with us at 12 3/4 yrs.
Its been a long time since I've expierienced some of their behaviors, but Adolf still has a couple surprises up his socks for us every now and then.
I wouldn't trade a memory or a moment either.
Peace be with you knowing that he was truely loved.

Thank you so much for being there for me. I was starting to think I was crazy for being so attached to a dog. I'm coming to grips with the fact that there'll never be another Bobby Joe. For the first 4 years of his life it was just he & I. I got him because I lived alone and needed companionship and protection (and he certainly did his job on both accounts)He saved my home from being broken into while I was home alone one night by sounding like a pack of hungry wolves behind the curtain. Now I share our 1yr old male fawn, Tommy, with my family. But even tho Bob loved everyone, he was always MuhMa's boy. I was holding him when he passed, so I did get a minute to tell him what a good boy he was.
Thanks again for your kindness.

Chris,

Bobby was one lucky dog to have had you in his life. Tyson and Five send big hugs to you at this time. This website is truly amazing. Just when you thought the world had gone to heck in a hand basket, you come to this site and laugh while you are crying. Kind of makes things easier these days.

Chris,
What a wonderful tribute to your friend. It was the first time that I have both laughed and cried since losing "Rocco" a month ago (mostly I just cry when I think of him). I still miss him terribly and I know I always will. We have since gotten a new puppy but she will never in any way be a replacement for our "Rocketman". These dogs are so special and seem to all have the same wonderful qualities. Thanks for putting a smile on my face and a happy memory in my heart.
My deepest condolences to you.

i just followed the link from "why a boxer"

Why a Boxer?

and found your very heartfelt tribute to Bob. i laughed and then i cried. i dread the day something happens to my soul mate- subi, and your post made me realize that the time we have with them is too short and to cherish every moment to the very end.
