I'm so very sorry for you. I think we all have a fear of something like this happening and when I read your post, I just cried and I wish you didn't have to feel the pain that I know you are feeling.

Thank you all for your kind words. It really helps. Its really so hard and I have not been able to move any of her things yet. The house is still exactly how she had left it. I sleep every night with her little stuffed tiger that she loved so much, it smells like her so much that it makes me feel a little better. I wanted to share with all of you what happened later Saturday after it had happened. I just planted myself out on the deck where she loved to be for hours and out of no where a little brown w/ black striped butterfly appeared so similar to Lilly's colors it was what I noticed first. This butterfly flew around me for, it had to have been over two hours as I sat there and cried. It landed next to me, then on my shoulder and just never left my side. I honestly feel that my little girl sent me that butterfly to let me know she is ok. Butterflies were her favorite things and we spent many days out side playing with them and chasing them. She was so facinated by them that she would watch them intently for as long as they would let her. Right as the butterfly left me it made a circle around the table and stopped right where Lilly always laid in the sun and then flew down around the tree where her rope was tied, stopped again where she laid in the shade when she was too hot to lay in the sun, then came back to me and flew up into the sky. I don't know if I had ever believed in any of this but it made me feel so good inside and just a sense of relief that she was ok. So thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers. I just felt like I should share that with all of you.

thank you for sharing,how beautiful!!yes i truly believe that was your little girl!!and your little girl will be waiting for you at the bridge,i know in my heart we will be reunited with all those we love in heaven...God is love,he would never keep those we loved ,from us...i pray you will find comfort with your memories....

Your girl sent a sign to let you know she is ok. She is at the bridge with a host of new boxer angel friends. Think of her happy and healthy until you meet again-and you will. Take care

That butterfly was definately a sign from your girl. She is all better now and happy. She just wants you to be happy now.

My Tossie sends me a rainbow every now and again. The most dignificant one was on her birthday, I saw the biggest beautiful rainbow and the weird thing is that it wasn't even raining where I was. I just stood there and stared at it until it faded away.

I am a total believer in stuff like that and I know in my heart your baby girl sent you that butterfly to make your heart lighter. She is still giving you her love.

I truely believe that was your baby letting you know that she was alright. Last night I was standing at the kitchen window and I watched this beautiful butterfly stay by my window for about 30 minuted. It was flying around and then it would land on the window. It looked like it was watching me. I think it was my Abby just watching over her mommy....Hugs Linda

My prayers are with you. You have so touched my heart with Lilly. That butterfly was definitely her. As tears roll down my eyes and my little Rommel lays at my feet, I will always remember that when he frustrates me to no end, he is one of the most precious things that God could give us. I am so sorry your Lilly was taken too soon.
