Re: Greta at the Rainbow Bridge
It's 3 months since you left for the bridge. I miss you so much. The house is so quiet. Olivia made Skipper some doggy treats, he didn't eat them. I know you would have gobbled them up. Run fast and be happy till we are together again. You were the best dog ever. I miss you so much. I long to hold you close, and kiss your wrinkled little head. I miss seeing you sit in the window when I come home. You are so missed. Be happy and free.

Re: Greta at the Rainbow Bridge
Oh sweet Greta, did you do this. Did you see us so sad, and arranged for us to meet. Georgia called me last night and said they had a 8 month old Boxer boy who needed a home. I needed to love a Boxer baby again. I met him and fell in love. I know you had a hand in this and I thank you and love you so much. Run and play till we meet again. He doesn't have a name yet, but I will tell him all about you. He has a big collar to fill!

Re: Greta at the Rainbow Bridge
Oh sweet Greta it's been four months since you left for the bridge. As you know, Scooter lives with me now. He is a boxer baby boy and naughty! I know you had a paw in sending him to me. He is nothing like you, but he is smart and will learn. But he makes me miss you so much, I even called him by your name the other day. I don't remember you being quite as naughty as he is. I miss you and love you. Run and be free till we meet again.

It is 5 months today since you went to the bridge sweet Greta. A day doesn't go by that I don't think about you and miss you dearly. The kids thought Scooter was you. But he is nothing like you. I miss you so. Be happy and run free at the bridge sweet baby girl!

Re: Greta at the Rainbow Bridge
Even though I've never experienced losing a boxer,(and hope it's a long, long, long time before i do)I truly believe their hearts live on in the new puppies that come into our lives.
Sorry to hear of your loss, hugs Marg and Waldo

Re: Greta at the Rainbow Bridge
The sun is out, I threw the ball and called your name. But you aren't here, and his name is Scooter. I don't know why I called your name, he is nothing like you. We were soulmates. You always listened to me, he doesn't. You knew how to please me, he doesn't care. Training you was a snap, he thinks he is trying out for the rodeo (bucking, sommersaulting, walking backward, rolling). I miss you so. He is a good dog, but he is not you. I so want to look into your sweet face and kiss that wrinkled brow. Watch your sweet brown eyes follow me as you tilt your head watching me. I want to bury my face in your neck and chest, and smell you. I want to feel you lean against me when we sit on the couch together. I long to hear you sigh when you settle in for the night. I can't wait to see you running towards me someday when I come for you at the bridge. : :

Re: Greta at the Rainbow Bridge
Happy Birthday my sweet Greta! You would have been 11 years old! I thought of you all day, and was glad it rained. Because that is how I feel inside, all rainy, and cold. I thought of all the past birthday's that we celebrated with a trip to the drive thru for a burger. How you were so excited to go for a car ride, and hang your head out the window. Or how tall you would sit in the front seat, and flirt with people as they pulled up next to us. I found myself crying at the thought of you today. I miss you so. It's been 7 month's since you left, and I think of the day when I will see you running towards me again at the bridge. Be safe and happy, you are missed so much.

Re: Greta at the Rainbow Bridge
I have no doubt that Greta feels your love, and even enjoyed a burger on her birthday. I'm so sorry that Greta's birthday was so hard for you. Please know that we are all here with hugs and support.
Happy birthday sweet Greta!
