Unhappy New Pups, not Able To Be Home

I have 2 new pups at home with me now Chance and Bruno, they are 8wks.After I got them my mother went to the hospital for 2 emergency operations I have to spend my days there til my kids get home from school, and then go back til visiting hours are over.
Do you think being let alone for so long during the day will make them unsociable? And also they like to just sit with me when I come home do pups realize something is wrong with you.My mom is on a resperator and not doing well so I cant cut my time at the hospital, nor do I have neighbors that could come check on them for me.Any suggestions would be very welcome.

I f you cant find anyone to let themout or just be with them Im sure they will be fine, as long as you give them all the love you can when you get home. Hope your moms doing better!

Your pups will be able to be crated when you are not home and can "hold it" for about 3 hours at their ages. This is likely to be a bigger issue than socialization. They have each other to learn from and play with for this period of time when you are having these family issues which need your attention.

It would be my suggestion to crate them when you aren't home, or put them in a puppy-proof room where they can pee and poop without ruining anything and it is easily cleaned, and hope for the best when you can devote time to housebreaking. But having crated them will be helpful at that time.

If you have a dog sitter or doggie daycare center near you or can find one, I would suggest if possible to have the walker come and walk the pups and let them do business while you're gone before the children get home from school, and/or take the pups to doggie daycare for say, 1/2 day while you're at hospital and before the kids get home from school.

Good luck. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I hope all turns out well. You and your mom are in our thoughts.
