Socialization and Dog Parks

Interesting to know. The first time my friend and I went to a dog park, we had our dogs leashed just to get a feel for the place and to see how our dogs would react. No one said anything to us (granted, it was 9pm and only a couple people were there), but I've used a leash a few times since then, and have seen many other people with leashed dogs... so it apparently doesn't bother the owners at this park, or maybe there's just never been an issue because of it yet.

Good to know the reasoning behind it though. I never would have guessed a leash would be a problem.
