To Play or Not To Play

My friend just got a (get a load of this) pickapoo. A pickeneese and poodle. He is 11 weeks old. My question is, when he gets a little bigger, say 3 months or so would Tyson be too big to play with him? Tyson is 10 months old and 55 pounds. He does play with a shitzu that is a little over a year old and about 12 pounds. He is gentle with her, just more or less chasing her through the yard. She stops running and he runs right past her. I would love to have him play with their puppy as we get together about every week. Just need some reassurance I guess. He never hurts or bites the shitzu when they play. Just running and tiny bit of wrestling when he manages to catch her.

I would go ahead and introduce them -- closely supervised of course -- while the other is still young. As far as socializing puppies, the sooner the better. How big is the peekapoo? And how does your friend feel about the two of them playing?

If you can get Tyson some GOOD exercise before the first meeting, and make sure that he plays nicely I don't see any reason to postpone it. If Tyson didn't have good manners it would be another story. But if he's good now, go ahead. If you wait until the -poo is a little bigger... well, Tyson will be bigger too

The poo is only 11 weeks old, so he's not too big. I did a search online and it says they get from 10-20 pounds. Didn't think to ask her how big he is now (duh). I may not take him tonight with us, but we get together quite a lot, so I'll take him next time. Probably next week sometime. They only got the poo Thursday night, so I thought I'd give it a little bit of time to settle into his new home. She said he cried in his cage until 1:30am the first night. Hope last night went better. Thank you Caney. Guess I just needed someone to reinforce what I was thinking When we go tonight, I may take a sock or something old that Tyson has played with so he can at least get a scent of him.
