If he'll eat it that way you can. Personally I open it up (it's two pieces) pull the two pieces apart and sprinkle it over the food given that my girl takes so many pills.

Ok sorry for so many questions but do you get the specail pills for dogs or are the ones for humans the same? Where do you get them?
Thanks for all your help.

Nope human ones are just fine. Just in the vitamin aisle at any store. Grocery store, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. Usually the vitamins are alphabatized, so they're in the A's for acidophilus. Have to refrigerate after opening.

Thumbs up

Well I switched to California Natural (or I am still in the process) and added a acidophilus capsule with breakfast every day and things are really improving. All the being sick seems to have taken a toll on his coat but hopefully that will improve with time.... The guy that sold me the Innova said he fed some to his puppy and it made her sick. That is her normal food so maybe that bag had an issue. Either way the puppy is doing much better thanks for all you help/
