Puppies and pablum

I need some good advice on when puppies should start or if they should start on a baby cereal ? or should the puppies start on mushed food ? I've heard and read so many different things, I'd like to get some of your opinions please.

Thanks in advance.

No baby cereal, they're not people. I'm confused. Are you meaning as their main diet or in addition to kibble or ??? No, whole foods are just fine there's no need to puree anything, however I'm not sure if you are referring to adding whole foods to a kibble based diet or homecooking or what.

Hi there, I wasn't being very specific in my post. I read that pups are able start on a baby cereal. From your answer I guess this isn't a good idea. At what age is a good time start puppies on a kibble diet, and what is the best way to introduce it. My puppies are 3.5 weeks now.

My pup was eating kibble when he came home at 7 1/2 weeks old. I believe he was weaned around 6 of 6 1/2 weeks but don't hold me to it. Sorry, I don't breed so don't deal with puppies that young, hopefully someone else will reply.

And no I'd skip baby cereal, dogs don't need grains and that's all the cereal is and it really hsa very little nutritional value by way of a dog.
