Hello with dry food for 6 month old, Australia

I have had Diesel on Royal Canine for boxer pups, since looking around on this site it appears it is far from a 'Premium' dog food. I need help from any Australians that can point me in the way of a good dry food and what is a fair price. cheers.

Finally found a dry food that is 4 star sold here in Australia, Eagle Pack. Will start to get Diesel on it tomorrow.

It is possible to get some high quality brands in Australia. Here are a couple of previous threads that may be useful - they have some links within for places selling decent foods in Oz (can't vouch for how current the links may be though): Im have done my head in and need help... bit long

where did you find this as i live in qld also. I have been using Nutro previously as that is what they used where i bought him from and i have just started hime on the royal canin boxer pup after reading about problems with Nutro. I also feed him some barf mixed in with this too. He really seems to like the barf and wolfs it down but the dry food he only shows a passing interest in. I am very interested to know where you got the eagle pack from because after reading thru the food guide it was very dissapointing to find all of which are classified as premium foods here are getting very low results on that table.

Hi, fellow Aussie here, you can get the Natura range of kibble - Innova (5 star), California Natural (4 star), Healthwise (4 star), and Evo (6 star). Pets Paradise chains and Pet Goods Direct stock them, however they only seem to stock the chicken/turkey ones I have not been able to find any where that sells a rep brand with different protein source. We used to feed 1 RAW and 1 kibble meal a day but as I can't find one with a different protein source for her rotation we went to all RAW. I have asked both Pets Paradise and Pet Goods Direct if they could get me Lamb or something with another protein in it and no one could help me, I've been wondering if it had something to do with not being able to import red meat sources or the irradation process that made Orijen stop shipping over here????? Anyway I gave up on it. Hope that helps somewhat.

gordnbec - noticed you said "some barf mixed in with this too" not sure if I misunderstood you but you shouldn't mix raw and kibble together at the same meal - one for am and other for pm is fine though.

Petstock.com.au These guys stock Eagle Pack (4 Star). Diesel has made the switch from royal and he much better for it. Shinny coat, more alert, firm poo and it doest smell. He has dry food in the morning, at night half raw chicken mince half dry with a big dob of yogurt.
