Honestly I would switch foods. Nutro is not a very reputable company nor is their food very good IMO. I would recommend a 4, 5, or 6 star food from dogfoodanalysis.com other than Nutro. JMO.
Also did you switch slowly over a 7-10 day period from the old food to the new? If not that is probably what is causing the runs.
Also not all food works for all dogs.
Good luck.

Blue Buffalo has a 4 rating because of the amount of meat it has. If you have a Petco near you, a good choice is Wellness and Solid Gold (both 5 star). If your puppy has allegies, Natural Balance is a good choice too. Many of the 4 stars are rated at that level because of their meat content which you could supplement with more meat.
The food you choose depends on what your dog can tolerate and what food is sold in your area.
Best of Luck.

BB is a good food for some dogs, for others it causes a lot of gas. If you can afford it and it's available in your area then go ahead and give it a shot and see how your pup does.
Good luck!

Our 7 week old puppy was brought up on Puppy Chow and we switched him to Nutro/puppy chow mix for 5 days before he became extremely sick. He was bloated, diarrhea, and he was very lethargic.
I made a trip about an hour away to buy him different food and came back with Bil Jac puppy. He absolutely loves it and can't seem to get enough. He was feeling better the next day with no more bloat and no diarrhea . By the second day he was running and playing like a normal puppy.
After reading some horror stories about Nuto and their recalls, I will never buy Nutro again.
I know many here think Bil Jac is trash, but I love feeding it to him and he loves to eat it.

Unfortunately ingredient wise it is. My son loves to eat McDonald's too, doesn't mean I allow him to eat it everyday...not much of a difference between a poor quality food and feeding a human child McDonald's on a daily basis.
Why don't you check out dogfoodanalysis.com and choose a healthier food so that you can enjoy feeding your pup, he can enjoy eating, AND he can eat something nutritious. DFA explains why food is poor quality or good quality and yes, Bil jac has a lot of fillers, as well as corn in their ingredients which is the #1 allergen for dogs in general Boxers especially.

I took your advice and switched him to a better quality food, Innova Evo. Totally grain free and only $1.00 more for a 6.6lb bag vs a 7lb bag if Bil Jac. Bruno loves it and doesn't "poop" as much! Yay less poop!
thanks

Make sure to check the bag that it is an all life stages food. Many of the grain free foods are not recommended for dogs under 12 months old.
