So which one?

After searching for a good brand of food & having no luck I found a feed store that carries
Canidae, Dimond Natural, Chicken soup pet lovers, Premium Edge, Total Proformance(local brand). The guy said they are all premium dog foods. Which brand would you pick? Or I could go with Blue Buffalo.

Those are all good foods. You can look all of them up on the Dog Food Analysis site and compare their ratings and reviews to help you make a decision. If they get similar reviews, I'd just pick one and see how it goes. One food doesn't always work for every dog, you just have to find one that your pup does well on.

Canidae has some very conflicting reviews. Do a search here for links to complaints on their formula. Diamond I think is a 1 star food. Chicken Soup is ok, though Blue Buffalo is has a higher rating.

The site Caney suggested will give you all you need to know. Start with researching the ones suggested to you, then go to the 4-6 star section and find one available to you. The higher the rating the better of course. Some are minimally more expensive than most. Some are outragiously expensive in this economy. Do the best you can with what you can afford.

i posted some of the same questions... my puppy Jasper is 9 weeks old now and we had started him on Nutro and his skin became really really dry and flaky. After getting information from the website above and getting advice on here i decided to try Blue Buffalo and not only does he love it but his coat is SO much shinier!! every dog is different but i've been very happy. good luck!
