what are 3 dry food options for new puppy ariving next week

I have read that many people like to feed their puppies wellness and others say it makes their puppies have stomach issues. WHat are my 3 best choices for dry food? Can't wait to get my new pup and want to be prepared.

Thanks

You should go on dogfoodanalysis.com There are a lot of great foods. Brewski is 6 months and is on taste of the wild. But every dog is differet do good luck.

I especially love wellness super5mix for puppies. The kibble is small and easy to chew, not to mention top quality ingredients and the puppies love it.

It definitely depends on the puppy. We used to feed Stella the wellness puppy food and I really wanted her to do well on it, but she totally didnt. We had to play around with a bunch of foods to find the right one. Definitely use dog food analysis then read the labels!! It might a guessing game for a while but hopefully you will have good luck!!

I was the same and wanted Dakota to do great on wellness but he didn't. Every time we would take him out to pee he would poop as well and it was far from solid. We switched to Innova puppy and it has been sooo great. From the day we started him on Innova it was an immediate change. I know many people have great luck with wellness just not our pup. I found Innova is a little harder to find because Petco or Petsmart don't carry it but we are lucky enough to have a place down the street that sells it along with all the other high quality dog foods. Good luck with whichever you choose!

Do get on DFA.com to compare dog food so you can choose what you want. We didn't buy wellness for our pup because it was over our budget, but we feed Gotti Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul dog food...it's a 5-star rating on DFA and it's affordable! Plus we had no stomach issues at all! He was on puppy chow before I found out about DFA...then we made the switch slowly and he loves it!

I'm researching the same thing.

According to the guidelines of the forum titled "how to choose a good dry dog food" posted, I have narrowed down my choices to:
Innova Adult Dog Food
Actually, that's the only one I have found that's pretty good, except for the addition of sea salt.
Other brands with minor problems are
Halo Spot's Stew Chicken dog recipe
Artemis fresh Mix adult dog formula
by Nature bright life canin food
merrick's puppy plate,
but i am still researching

re: dry dog food to try

Also look at Canidae All life stages formula, but not the grain free one that has too much protein

Thansk for the help

Thanks to the forum for there help. We got our puppy last friday and we chose wellness for puppies. She just started to eat well sunday night. She eats it well. Have let it sit with a little water to soften it up. Sher stool has been good. Maybe when she we change her food we will look for a food that is not as exspensive.
