Flaxseed oil in Food

Is it ok to put flaxseed oil in kibble.. My pup is eating Canidae and i wanted to know if it is ok to add any flaxseed oil to it once a week.. And if this is ok how much should i add.. He is 12 weeks old and pretty solid
