Perhaps this is what a Boxer might say to us if they could speak.

My eyes twinkle when I look at you,
In them the reflection of love and loyalty,
My ears perk up when I hear you come home,
The excitement it brings is uncontrollable,
My little nubbed tail wags with complete unrestraint,
Its wagging for you as I eagerly await your touch,
My feet leave the ground as I jump upon you,
I am excited, I have missed you and need your attention,
My body bends unnaturally in the shape of a bean,
You pet me and its like a drug coursing through me,

You are my Master and my friend,
My loyalty will never cease,
Your trust in me I will never break,
I will await your return home impatiently,
I will listen to you... when I want,
I will "try" and be the best I can be,
I am your dog, your pet, your friend,

I am a Boxer and that's just how we roll.
