If I'd Only Known....

Okay, here is a first attempt at a poem....please dont laugh, its a little corny! lol



If I'd known how much I'd love you,
How much happiness you'd bring,
Or how I'd laugh to see you do
That silly "kidney-bean"

If I'd known you'd melt my heart,
With those big, sweet, loving eyes,
And the wet and sloppy kisses,
Your "woo-woo" song and Boxer sighs

If I'd known how much I'd miss you
Or that I'd cry so long
Or question every day
If what I did was wrong

If I'd known the emptiness I'd feel
To not have you here with me,
To not hear your floppy footsteps
Or feel your chin rest on my knee

If I had known all this
I wonder what I would have done
Would I have made the same decision?
Or perhaps a different one?

If I'd only known,
I wonder....

I don't think it's corny, I think it's beautiful. We can all relate.... those boxer-beans and woo-woos that we all love so much, they bring us so much happiness.... it makes it that much harder when it's finally time for them to go.
