I know this is for boxers but my sister wrote this peom for me,when my horse died...

You once were here
But now your gone
The friendship we had
Will forever live on

In my heart you will remain
The best an equine friend can be
And because of that special love
Navajo,I hereby set you free

Free from this body of yours
Riddled with disease and pain
Free from this way of life
That would have left you unhappy and lame

Now you can finish out eternity
Painlessly having fun
Thundering across the sky at night
Still bucking at a run

That fire in your eyes can continue to burn
Full of endless love and joy
The way I'll always remember them
My favorite mischievious boy

Your passing was hard for me to take
But in my heart I know it's for the best
And I know your not alone up there
So be sure to give my love to all the rest

For Leta's up there waiting
With Kodi standing by
To take you to your new home
Where greener pasture lie

I know I'll never replace you
You were,one of a kind
And the friendship that we shared
Is so very hard to find

You will remain in my heart
Until my time here ends
And that is when we shall reunite

This is so beautiful, and so special coming from your sister, it must mean a lot to you. Thank you for sharing with us. I am so sorry you lost your beloved friend, Navajo. I know how sad your life is without him, I just lost my Boxer boy, Grunt. I hope they are frolicking about together. Grunt often pranced like a horse.

This made me smile after the poem - which was beautiful by the way. Billy often prances like a horse also.
