Canon PowerShot A95

I'm so excited! I just ordered my digital camera! I decided on the Canon A95. I was getting tired of having to use my camera phone for taking pics of the dogs so I decided it was time for a real digital camera. I can't wait till it gets here. I spent the extra money for it to get here in 2 days so I figure I'll get it hopefully tues or weds depending on when they ship it. I also ordered a battery charger for it since I'm sure I'll be using it a lot! Now I'll be taking pics like crazy! Sorry for all the excitement, but I've been wanting a digital camera for myself for along time. I've always had to borrow someone elses. I have a really nice regular camera but it's old and I had a hard time remembering to take the film in to be developed. I took a photography class in high school and planned on taking more but they canceled them because of money. Maybe I should look into a class at the college. I always liked working in the dark room and developing film in high school. Ok, I'm rambling now. Sorry, just too excited!

Congrats, I have one as well!

May I suggest www.megapixelworld.com, for you to post your lovely pictures?

This reminds me -- I need to upload some photos with the new camera.

Thumbs up Good choice

I just purchased a Cannon A85 and the pictures are far superior to the Kodak Easyshare digital camera I have. I haven't 'posted' any pictures yet with the Cannon yet but the images are much better. The only reason we bought a second camera is because my daughter took a digital photography class and need certain setting options which the Kodak didn't offer. I still haven't learned all the settings yet.... there are alot! I was going to make her pay for it but once I saw the quality difference I said never mind, when your class is done the camera is mine!! You made a good choice!

Thanks! I should be getting it today! It coming by DHL. I wish they would hurry up! I told the dogs to get ready for getting their pictures taken ALOT. They just looked at me and wagged their nubbins.
I have looked at the megapixel site. Looks like a great site. I'll have to join so I can start sharing!
Why is it when you are waiting for something good it takes forever, but the bad stuff happens too quickly.

Cannon makes a good camera, but I would register it and get a warranty on it too. I had a cannon for about 2 months last year and one day it decided it didn't want to work. I kept getting an "E18" error, which is common. The company couldn't help me because I didn't register it.
Still a good camera far better than kodak. You'll take good puppy pictures and movies with it.

Just watch out - it's a tough crowd over there (especially watch out for "Olly").

Uh oh, should I be scared? I signed up today. I haven't been able to post yet since I was waiting for approval.

But I did get my camera today! Now I just need to read up and start shooting!

Just remember Megapixelworld isn't like Boxerworld: Photographers are violent people. First they frame you, then they shoot you, then they hang you on the wall.
