The Nikon Coolpix P90 is not exactly a "point and shoot camera", it is a "bridge" camera, something that does everything decently but not perfectly. It is a compromise

I read good reviews about the P90 (there is one online at
http://www.trustedreviews.com/digita...Coolpix-P90/p1) but is it small enough to carry around with you? I do not think it has a built in lens cap so you need to take it off everytime you want to take a photo.
I just got a Coolpix S620 because I wanted a discreet compact easy to carry everywhere and with a lens wide enough (28 - 112mm) for taking indoor photos when reviewing restaurants. Previously I was using a Sony T30 but its 38 - 114mm zoom was not wide enough for indoor photos.
The image quality is nowhere near a slr but it does well its job

Good luck finding your camera!

It is quite small as you can see below next to my camera gear:

A Coolpix is the generic name for
all Nikon digital compact cameras. You need to precise the model of Coolpix. It is like saying I replaced my Canon EOS (which one?) because its autofocus was bad and got a Nikon D700 which I absolutely love
